Hi there, is it possible i can't reuse the lcd display from my old'n'dead GAME GEAR? I read that it will cost much more than buying a new 8" one. I can't believe i have 2 throw it away ![]() It's such a pity! Does it accept composite input? (a vga card tv out won't work, will it?) Anyone able to suggest me where 2 look 4? I can't stand trashing such traesures ![]() Sorry 4 annoying (if any) and thank u all atb rik |

http://geocities.com/vjkemp/sega/ Check out the "Pin configurations" link. The last 3 pins (43, 44, 45) of the cartridge port are for the GG TV unit (which also has a video-in on it apparently). Read (scroll down a bit): http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php? ... genumber=2 "it appears to me if you use pins 41 and 43 (or where they hook up on your GG rather) attach an RCA cable and boot, it'll just take up the signal from that....maybe." Note the maybe, I don't think anyone has actually tried this yet ![]() --------------------- The GG LCD is the Citizen UC-320. Good luck finding a data sheet for it though ;I Composite Sync : Vertical 59.92 Hz Horizontal 15557 Hz RGB signals have all the horizontal 15.555 KHz The Vertical Frame driver IC ( the one alone ) has a impulse clock of ~ 7.8KHz... THE LCD IS PAL COMPATIBLE... --------------------- You may find: http://www.gamesx.com/index2.htm Useful, has some info on various consoles/handheld, and hardware mods, etc, including video and RGB type stuff. |
