Hello! At last I found a great forum about LCD I have got a Hitachi LMG6911RPBC from a friend of mine, and I would like to make it work. I have thought about wiring it up to the parallel port on my PC, and if it works great, I will use a uP later on. But at the moment I would like to hear, if anyone could help me with some hardware for power etc. From a datasheet I have found this pin assignment: 1 : D0 2 : D1 3 : D2 4 : D3 5 : Disp off (inv) 6 : Frame 7 : NC 8 : Load 9 : CP 10 : VDD 11 : VSS 12 : VEE 13 : V0 14 : PGND (i think) From the datasheet it says that VDD-VSS must be ~5V and VEE-VSS must be -22V. Can anybody tell me how to make such a power supply? Does anyone have experience with this kind of display - maybe someone have some sourcecode? All help - anything - is appriciated. |

This kind display pretty much requires a separate controller based on SED1335 or some other controller ic. It's possible to drive it with a fast enough microcontroller without separate controller but it takes almost all cpu time and then there isn't much left for other things so the controller is the solution I recommend. Here's some negative voltage circuits that might help: http://www.skippari.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=63 |
