Well, I've gotten my hands on a 640x200 LCD displat, with a SED1335 controller, and it's all wired correctly according to the spec sheets.

I've posted everything I've done so far over at the Bit-Tech forums, so here's a link that way:

http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=60840

Now, the issue is that I don't get anything on the display, no matter how I've got it wired up. It's not my parallel port, since my old HD44780 LCD worked just fine. I've cross checked all the spec sheets, and everything is wired correctly, no shorts, etc.

It's come down to being a software issue, I believe. None of the software packages out there seem to support this beasty..

Any suggestions?

Hi there Twyst,

Have you cross-checked the SED133x driver configuration in LCDInfo and your wiring? And set it to custom 640x200 size?
Dunno if LCDInfo already supports 640x200 now, but i know it will in the near future

Yep. Sure did. Even checked the operating speed which is 10mhz, according to the controller's spec sheet. No joy.

I think LCDInfo should support this display size with SED133x but of course it's not tested.
I should get a 640x200 display soon and also I'm going to build my own S1D13305 controller board for it so after playing with those I should be able to better say what is needed to make it work.
