Post subject: | CCT (Crystal Clear Technology) CMG64240X02 |
I recently acquired a couple of graphical LCD's with the T6963 Chipset. These are manufactured in Malaysia by Crystal Clear Technology. I am looking for someone who can help me figure out how to drive this from the LPT port. The schematics are here (http://www.cct.com.my/product/CMG64128-01.zip), but I cannot find any schematics here that exactly match the pinout given by CCT. I have already blown up one LCD module (a KS0108 by CCT - 128x64), and I cannot afford to blow up these other two! If anyone can help me get going on this, I would definately appreciate it! Regards, Tom |

Hmm, the link you gave was for a KS0108 compatible display ? But in your subject you mention model number CMG64240X02 which is a 240x64 pixel T6963C display. That seems to have mostly the same pinout as the display here: http://www.skippari.net/lcd/t6963c_schem.html The difference is that CMG64240X02 has integrated negative voltage source which output is in pin 20. You can look at this schematic for an example how to connect the potentiomenter for adjusting the contrast voltage: http://liquid-mp3.schijf.org/schematics ... -24128.gif For backlight current and voltage requirements I didn't see anything in the datasheet. |

Ooops! Sorry about the ks0108 link! Actually, I got the pinout for the T6963C for this LCD. I have it all working, except for a few minor bugs. The diagram I was looking at had RST (pin 10) held low (pegged to GND). I could never get the LCD to come on with anything but garbage. I pulled it high with a 10k pullup tied to +5v and it worked just fine. Next problem - I cannot get your software (LCDINFO) to work with this display. I set it up using lcdinfo_config, and then open LCDINFO and it locks up (have to CTL-ALT-DELETE to kill it). POWERLCD writes to the screen (but it is only for 128x240, so the screen is garbled). Below is a copy of my LCDINFO.INI - I will look around the site to see if there is any information on why my XP Pro box locks up with LCDINFO, but any help would be appreciated. We are actually testing some screens for programming a custom Linux Appliance for monitoring hardware on a LAN, so we would like to use LCDINFO (or something like it) to show the screens on a Windows Box via the parallel port before the programmer is done writing the Linux interface for it. I recommend you try with the 0.6 version of LCDInfo. http://www.skippari.net/phpBB2/index.php?c=4 Don't have time to give you more exact links just now but I recommend starting with the sticky topics at the general discussion. |
