ESD ??
I redid all my wiring on a circuit and got the same result, it's plainly dead

Hi I have2 KS0108 LCD One is working correctly for few weeks. The Other is working only on the left side. Half of the display look dead. I remade all my connection over again, and no matter how, it look just plain dead. Is there anything I could do ? or someone can explain me how the CS2 controller could become dead ? This LCD worked for about 1 week then died.. thanks |

If nothing else has changed and all wiring is still fine the conclusion could be that the controller is dead for some reason. I have also one KS0108 display that has the other controller dead. The reason this happened was that I did something stupid when putting the display together and then forgot it there. The display then worked fine for about a year but one day when I again plugged it in there was this smell you don't want with electronics stuff and very hot controller IC's on the back of the display and then other controller was dead. |

I thinks you may check follow. 1. wire connection is fine ? Not only CS2, RS RW and E to second KS0108 also important. 2. ESD kill the second Ks0108 |
