Super simple connection and it works. I connect direct lcd +5 to usb +5v without transistor.

Lcdinfo support would be nice.

I had only 1x8 display to test with. Use buttons to change display info

It uses 0% of cpu load. Tested with Jelus usb module

Yes that's a simple way to connect displays with 4-bit or serial interfaces. But as it's not that easy to connect for 8-bit interface displays like most graphical displays so I haven't bothered making LCDInfo support.

But as LCDInfo offers the SDK for making drivers anyone can make the driver and there's also the HD44780 driver with source code available so it should be easy to modify.
If anyone makes the modifications I can include the driver with LCDInfo.
