let me start out by saying that i am a complete n00b.
i really appriciate any help i can get so i will provide as much knowledge as i know how to.
i have this microwave (
http://eldersweb.com/jvm2070.htm ) and when it was being installed, they dented the control panel. The control panel contains a sweet touchscreen LCD. they let me keep it when it was replaced (you cannot just replace the facade, only the entire panel) i got to keep it. so i immidiately ripped it apart but was a little too quick and broke the glass in the touchscreen portion. since that i have gotten the actual LCD out and have been looking up chip numbers and stuff and found that it has the Epson S1D113305F00A1 controller and some other ships that i havent found the purpose for (possible timer chips or ram?)
what i want to do is use the LCD for my computer but i dont know what the LCD is (since it is attached to a board with the epson on it)and this would be the first LCD ive ever worked with (and the first soildering ive ever done)
im fairly tech savy but i am extremely new to LCDs and the controllers and parallel and serial and teh like... so...
please help me out.
i have some scans and pics of the board (the LCD is on the other side) and the ribbon is covering up some stuff... two ribbon cables wrapping around the board labled IC1 and IC2 as well as some numbers. (sorry about teh blurryness in the scan...
(whoops... no pictures.... they came out horrible (no macro mode on motorola Q...

)
it also has a 7-segment LCD attached so if all else fails, then maybe i can use that somehow...
