I have a GH688 lcd, according to http://sandiding.tripod.com/lcdgh688.html there are two different chips availble on a GH 688 lcd. one with a phillips chip and one with a Seiko-Epson chip. The one that I have is a chip on glass with no markings. The only clues that I have are: the conector is on the top right hand side when the front is facing you and the other clue is "829" is printed on the back next to the connector. any extra clues would be useful, otherwise I will just have to experment to find a working soloution. Also does any one know what language the note is at the bottom of the above link, cause I cant read it and it might have a clue in it.

The clue is in the size and shape of the chip on glass on the actual display.. If it's a square looking one, then it's the top display, if it's a long thin looking one, then it's the bottom one. If the chips are covered in a blob of black epoxy, you should still be able to see the rough shape of them.

Hope this helps.
