If anyone is intrested about that kind of adjusting methode. check Those digital potentiometer's from dallas. here's a link http://para.maxim-ic.com/compare.asp?Fam=Dig_Pot&Tree=DigiPots&HP=DigitalPotentiometers.cfm&ln= If planning to use that, then remember this! Usually you cannot connet more then +-8V and few milliamp's. Other wise that digitall pot will burn!!! So if more is to use connet that to adjustable voltage regulator. There are severall modells. I have DS1869-10. Contrast adjustment trough to momentary push button or even one if prefered ![]() In my case that has to be connected to adjustable voltage reg. My LCD reguirs negative voltage that is -8V to -12V I higly recomend to read those datasheet's before connecting any voltages. |

Nice idea. ![]() And then some ideas that i'd like to make some day (i started work on usb/serial lcd months ago but haven't had time for it lately): -some buttons connected to the microcontroller -control computer/lcdinfo with the buttons -backlight adjustment based on some events in lcdinfo / time of day / etc. - |

really nice plans! ![]() usb lcd would be soo nice!!! ![]() I wish you all the best luck with project! btw I have also thinked an lcd back light mod, that would use RGB led's! What I have read those can display all visible colors. Only draw back with those is the fact that they are reeeaally expensive! ![]() Well even three color's would be nice and that would be less expensive. |
