Can a planar el640.200 U-series be driven by a sed controller?

Yes, the SED1335 will drive this display, however, that display DOES NOT contain the 200+ DC/DC converter.....so, unless you already have the converter, it wouldn't do any good to get the display. Sorry. :cry:

thanks for the help, I think I will just scrap it. Just out of interest, what are the colours on it? Does anyone know where I can buy a planar display, specifically an el320.240?

These are monochrome displays, usually looking like a yellowish in color. Once in a while, you will see the 320x240's pop up. Unfortunately, you're not the only one interested in these, so the prices tend to be driven up quite a bit sometimes.
OK, now I see how to do it :D this one :D

Colors on that 640.200-UX should be pretty much the same as the SK.
The 320.240.HB is even more brighter and tends to be more yellowish.
