I am trying to use a Freescale 9s12 connected to a Hantronix hdg-12864l-6 COD display. The controller is a KS0724 (serial input). My problem is I can't seem to find where or how to start using LCDinfo.
1) do I need to buy a board and lcd that works with LCDinfo, or buy the software somewhere? Link to a beta version in a thread, but don't see a download site. There are a lot of posts about hooking up usb and parallel connections. None of which I am using.
2)when I install and run LCDinfo I get a small green icon in the system tray; when I right click and select driver there are no drivers to select. When I tell it to load GUI, it says 'GUI not available'.
3) I would like to create a display of a guage and some alpha numeric text, this seems to be reasonable from the posts but how I can figure out.

Any help would be much appreciated... thank you.

LCDinfo is only usable with displays hooked up to LPT (some USB). If you use your own microcontroller you'll need to write your own code.

Yes thank you I realize that, but I would like to start by connecting the lcd to a pc LPT from there I can write the driver I need. But to do that I need to be able to run the program on a pc and find out how to connect the lcd to the port and I can't get it to run. I also can't seem to find any doc set about set up the.
