i need inforamtion on developing applications to LCD-TFT monitors
with dual communication (to the lcd screen and from it - by pressing the screen)
if any one can link me to proffesional sites or other data

Do you already have some hardware or are you just planning now ? I think the hardware manufactures would have information on interfacing with their products. |

How big is the TFT screen? Do you really need to communicate directly with the tft screen or can you use a tft graphics card that drives the tft screen like a normal crt screen? To get the information back for the lcd is usaully done by a resistive glass pannel with either a serial port or via the ps/2 plug. It then works like a normal mice! If you need lower access than this you should contact the manufacture for the datasheet (like henri said) and see if you can communicate in this manner. The problem is that some of these screens need 18/24 bit communication but this can sometimes be by-passed because the screen sometimes work in the same manner as the nokia 3310 lcd (have a look at this thread in the drivers section) |
