i'm looking for very small alphanum or graphic lcd, like for example the ones used in panasonic minidiscs players :

i was wondering if someone in this forum have any idea where i can find such lcds without having to contact a lcd manufacturer for a custom design and break my bank account ;)

How small should it be ? The Nokia 3310 lcd is a small lcd that is easy to get.

For some other options you could check www.pollin.de as I remember there have been some displays available.

well, for example, the size of remote control on the 2nd pic is 6x2x0.8 cm

for my part i plane mine to have a size like this, maybe a little longer ( 8cm would be fine i think ) so the best size for the lcd would be something like 3.5x1cm or 4x1cm, graphic dot matrix would be great, but a "simple" alphanum lcd will be also fine

edit :
i've just realized that i've forgot to tell that this lcd will be used in a remote control design...
