Hi ! I have write a program with a LCD KS0108B ! I use the hadware where we can find on your web site : the 64128A_ver2.pdf My LCD have 3 Chips (It's a 192x64) for select : Left screen : CSA & CSB 0 Middle screen : CSA = 0 CSB =1 Right screen : CSA=1 CSB = 0 ! My program works fine in some computers ! But other computer the middle not woks ! the connections are goods ! with a meter we can see the High bits on the LCD pin ! If i change the timing on the command sequence all screens are woks but i haven't my text but only garbage. When i set good time ! only left and right show my text ! the middle show anythings ! On my computer and some other it's good too ! Why it 'is not good on some computers ? Someone have an idea ( All are ECP on bios) Someone had the same pb when it developpe and have a solution ? Help i am lost ! |

I use dlportio for pilot the // port ! I use on resistance on Pin 1 (strobe:enable), one for CSA (Pin14 //port) obe for CSB (Pin 16// port) and one for RS (pin17//port) These resistance are connected on VCC and pins ! Someone can help me ? |

Have you tried without the pull up resistors ? I have never used the pullup resistors but I've heard that they can help. Maybe they could make it also worse in some situations. KS0108 displays often seem to have some timing problems with parallel port. I guess it's just necesary to try to find a working timing. Maybe it could be made somehow adjustable to different computers. You could also try different parallel port modes. |
