hmmm okej. I follow jetage schema :p , how much ohm do i need :)

Maybe 1kohm. But I've never tried this so I can't give any quaranties how it will work.
Where can i buy , or read about , that thing you got instead of any resistor´s ? :wink:

If you go to the first page there are links to the part datasheets in the post where I describe the connection.
Also I have small amount of the components needed so I might be able to sell you some. If you are interested in buying from me send me email.

Im going to buy a few ohm from 4.7ohm to 1Mohm :wink: , it will be 500st together :D . i dont know so much about ohm , is 1kohm much ? , or can i take like 10kOhm to be sure that i really don´t burn my lcd ?

4.7ohm == 4.7
1Mohm == 1 000 000

So 1Kohm goes in between: 1Kohm == 1 000

I don't know how I'd define if that's much or not.

Like I have said before I don't know how well it will work with resistors and what value is best so besides the recommendations I have already made I can just say that try yourself.

Please have a look around with google for example to figure out the basics of resistance and resistors etc. if you're in doubt.

If you want to use something that I've tested to work you can use the circuit from the first page.

I tried using 1k resistor and it works but this must really not be a good idea.
Without resistors I have 4.6v and with resistors... still 4.6v. I suppose that the power consumption of the LCD is too low so that resistors do nothing.

I think that you did wrong when you use the volt , thing :) it have to stop some volt :wink:

I tried one more time and with 1K voltage only drop between 0.1v and 0.2v ...

I'm sure of what I measured

i going to try with 10k :roll: and hope that will work ;)

if i use 10 i maybe drop 1-2 ? i need to drop 1.7 volt , to get the exactly volt ;)

So nice to see LCDinfo is supporting this display aswell :D Small but very nice displays!

Anyways, as Rudi posted:

rudi Grobler wrote:
One more think I just read:

The 3310 lcds are actualy called LPH7779, LPH7677 or LPH7366.

The LPH7779 and LPH7677 have 8 pins:

pin1 V+
pin2 Sclk
pin3 Sda
pin4 DorC
pin5 Cs
pin6 Gnd
pin7 Vout(DC/DC voltage converter)
pin8 Reset

The LPH7366 has 9 pins:

pin1 V+
pin2 Sclk
pin3 Sda
pin4 DorC
pin5 Cs
pin6 Osc (32768Hz external clock)
pin7 Gnd
pin8 Vout(DC/DC voltage converter)
pin9 Reset

I have the following to add to that:
- LPH7679 => 8-pin pinout
- LPH7666 => 9-pin pinout
- ECM-A-1091 => 9-pin pinout

If my info is correct, all these models have the PCD8544 controller and thus should work.

Above display models are found in the following phones:
- Nokia 3210
- Nokia 3310
- Nokia 3330
- Nokia 5510
- Nokia 5110
- Nokia 6110
- Nokia 6150
- Nokia 8210
- Nokia 8850

Btw Henri, I sent you an email so we can match our wiring. Would benefit both our users ;)

As I tried to explain you in the PMs you might not get the results you are expecting with resistors because there isn't much current flow in the data lines.

hi henri

Color displays might be possible in future. I have had an Epson 128x128 pixel color display from a Nokia phone for some time but haven't yet had time to look into it more closely. But I have the datasheet for the display and the documentation is there so there shouldn't be too big problems getting it to work. But I'm not giving any promises on this yet, it will come when I have the time for it.

hello i have one color lcd which has 4096 color....
i dont have any other data for this LCD...is it posible for u to give me the datashhet of color LCD's...like nokia 7250...
and also want to ask u one question......the controller for 3310 is pcd8544...then is it same for color LCD's too or color LCD's have some other controller....if so please can you provide me the detail of this LCD's
waiting for your reply

reply ASAP

Thanks in advance

Color displays are not using PCD8544 as it doesn't support colors.

Here is some data for 128x128 controllers used in Nokia color displays:
http://www.hantronix.com/down/S1D15G00_REV1_0.pdf
http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/p ... 2DA_1.html
There are two different display types that look almost same but have different controllers. I have one of each but as I wrote earlier I haven't yet started working on those.

Then there's also smaller color display used in 3510i which uses different controller. I don't remember which one that was but it might have been of the Epson series.
