A guess on the 7110 controller could be SED1565. Sorry, I don't have more information on this.

I checked the datasheet for OM6208 and it includes I2C interface too so I don't think this is the correct controller.
But 6310 could use the same controller that is used in 3410. I don't know the controller for this either but I found one controller datasheet from Philips site that matched with what I know about the 3410 controller. Sorry, can't remember which controller it was but if you look into the datasheets and find the one for this size and with SPI interface only then you have it.

i have 5110 screen and i have problem with
the connector !!! i know the pins and their
connection but it is to difficult to make a
connector !!!! in this lcd the connector has
9 pin on a silicon like pad.

i have thought many ways but the best was to
take a utp female connector and modifiacate
it so to fit the screen.

do you have any idea ? what you did in that
case?

ADMIN EDIT:
jetage reported me that his display died using this schematic. So others might not want to try this one.

Whats the thing between LTP7, LTP25 & GND / VOUT?
Maybe I can post my result here, I have a nokia 5110 display..

It's a 3.3v voltage regulator.

You can leave that but in that case you lose the possibility of the software to control the power supply of the display. In the controller datasheet it's said that the display should be resetted immediately after applying power to not to damage it.

It shouldn't matter what x86 system you have as long as you can run the software given here. All instructions given here should apply.

Are you still wondering about the extra pin ?

Earlier in this thread:

The connection is same as for the 8 pin display except you need to connect the Osc pin to Vdd. According to PCD8544 datasheet this enables the on-chip oscillator.

Vdd = 5volts right? Also extern? Or just leave it behind, it will work without?

Vdd is the operating voltage of the PCD8544 chip. 3.3v in my schematic.

Hi!

I want to make Nokia 3310 LCD working, but now I don`t know which scheme is good :) First, I rather not use DarkElf scheme, becouse those parts are hard to get for me (especialy 74xx)... second, Jetage scheme gives too high voltage, so its not good for LCD...

Is there an alternative for this 74xx part?
Which scheme is good?
