if you want to make us german speaking people really (and i mean REALLY) happy, support for the heise.de newsticker would be a great thing :lol: .

Support for news from different sites has been in my mind. Originally (in july) the idea was to add support for user's own vb scripts. Back then I was able to run some of the scripts written for Samurize but this is one feature that I haven't got time to finish. Many scripts can be found from the Samurize site, heise.de included.

Hmm, does heise.de have RDF/RSS feed ? RSS feeds are once again one thing that I'd like to support. I don't have experience with these but if someone has got good pointers/examples how to do it I'd be interested.

Ok, I now have some code to parse the heise.de RSS feed.

First I did version using MSXML and SAX and now second version using CMarkup. CMarkup seems simpler at the moment and I guess it will be easier to transfer to C++ Builder. We'll have to see.

One thing to make this more complicated seems to be different RSS versions used. Many sites are using RSS 0.91, some use 1.00 and then there are others too. But the current code works with heise.de news :wink:
