PC0802B-YNRD-O is all i see on it,it's a 8 x 2 display that's all i know really, 14 pin connection and it apear's to have a controller built in,any 1 have a idea how to get it working??

Since it's a character module there's a great chance that it's HD44780 compatible.

With a multimeter you could trace if the +5V and GND lines go as with typical HD44780 connection and if that's the case just build the same cable. I didn't check anything with one of my Epson panels but thankfully it worked with the same cable without blowing anything up. :)

Yes that's basicly the same connection. Either use pot to control contrast in pin 3 or just wire it to ground as it should usually work like that just fine.
