Hi guys, I'm new to this forum so sorry if I posted in the wrong place. I really only joined up to tell you about this:
There is a fairly new Sony LCD out called the ACX705AKM which is a 240x160 pixel, 512 colour TFT display with an LED backlight. It runs off of +3V and +3.8V DC lines and is selling for around US$20 at
http://www.goldmine-elec.com (Electronic Goldmine).
Anyway, you probably already know all that however there is a very good controller circuit published based on the Atmel AVR ATMega8515 and ATMega128 microcontrollers that is interesting. Since the display itself is a typically dumb unit that accepts HSync and VSync signals, this circuit is pretty handy for learning how to drive it and everything else
It can be found at the Atmel AVR 2004 Design Contest web site (I forget the URL, sorry) and is Project No A3810. Anyway, it won the contest and I just thought that some people on this forum might be interested to know about it
Hope this is usefull/interesting to you
