Hey,

Im trying to interface the Epson S1D13706 LCD controller with the Optrex F-51900 LCD but Im having a bit of trouble with it. Which generic bus design outlined in the LCD controller datasheet should I use for the interface? I believe its the Generic bus design #2 but Im not sure.

Also, the F-51900 claims to do more than 256 colors but in its datasheet is only accepts 3 bits (R, G, B) for each pixel....how does it accomodate 256 or more colors?

Here are the datasheets:

http://www.optrex.com/SiteImages/PartLi ... -FW-AC.pdf

http://www.erd.epson.com/index.php?opti ... &Itemid=40

Any help would be appreciated....first time doing this kind of development.

-J

Are you talking about the interface between S1D and LCD? If you do, Generic #2 Bus wouldn't be correct, because it's for 9-bit LCD. You should have a look at Figure 3-8.

Where did you read this? I think it is really only RGB, that means 3 colors...
