Hi,

I've got a load of LCD panels with absolutely no background information other than the numbers stated in the title, and the IC's on the board. I'm wondering if any of you have any information that can help me out.

GEB-2294V-0 S
LCM-5278/79 is etched into the board

"MADE IN JAPAN"
"LCM-5430-E" is printed onto the board

I believe this thing is quarter VGA.

The ICs are

OKI M5299B 8 of them
OKI M5298A 3 of them

Any info on these would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

M5298A is a 68 output common driver.

M5299B is a 80 output segment driver.

3 x 68 = 204
8 x 80 = 640

You could try tracing some kind diagram of the signals going from the connector to the common and segment drivers to have a better understanding how they are arranged.
