Hi All,

I measure the Nokia knock off LCD to draw 150mA when its backlight is powered with a 7V DC boost circuit -- I measured this both on the Sparkfun Carrier board and on my own custom board with a similar DC boost circuit.

I thought the backlight was only supposed to draw 50mA or so -- I tested this with a never-used LCD as well as ones I've been working with for awhile.

The DC boost circuit ought not to be leaking gobs of current; it's controlled by a special IC (The TI TPS61040). Just to be safe, I also measured the resistance across power and ground; it's about 1.6 MOhm.

Am I missing something? this is a lot of current to be drawing, I think.
thanks,
Jeevan
