I have CFAG12864B LCD. I'm trying to find some information regarding the intialization on LCD. The reset is pulled up to High always. Does this LCD requires special initialization?

After reset you should send the DISPLAY ON command to both chips and also set the DISPLAY START LINE. Then setting both X and Y addresses and writing data should work.
