If you can't find a datasheet then you could take some high resolution pictures of the display and maybe someone would be able to give some hints of what kind display it might be.

I picked up a couple of the TM320240BGG 's the other day (at less than $10 I thought they might come in handy one day...)
The datasheet that came with them was a one page sheet with dimentions and pin configurations. I am unable to post it here so you can contact me if you want me to send you a copy.

I have no time at the moment to play with it but in a few weeks I will dive it to it.

If you have the datasheet you might want to post a link to it for anyone to see and maybe be able to provide advice based on the datasheet. If you don't have a webhost yourself available for this you could use one of the many free file upload sites or even email me the datasheet and I can put it up here.

the datasheet is now posted at:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/gbgngvk4d ... 240BGG.pdf

Thank you Henri!

Here is also a more complete datasheet for a similar module:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/izkywhjho ... FWVSWA.pdf

Comments on the datasheet from Henri:

Quote:
Looking at the pinout it looks pretty standard for QVGA controllerless LCD's that can be driven by S1D13700 for example.

For personal use and one display the CCFL inverter used probably doesn't need to be an exact match. If you have any inverters meant for simlar size LCD or can get one it would most likely work well enough. Or even one of those PC case mod CCFL inverters could work.

Regarding the CCFL I don't have any inverters laying around so I was actually looking at replacing the CCFL with a LED as I feel it is easier to work with. I don't know how the LED will look or if it is even possible to remove the CCFL without destroying the module so we will see... the PC mod inverter is a good tip!

Any additional input or help would be greatly appreciated!

:D

Does anyone have any idea how to program one of these LCD units to work with an embedded Microprocessor, such as an Amtel AVR?

Thanx
