Did 3210 have the 9 pin display ? If so the pinout for it is given in earlier post in this thread. The connection is same as for the 8 pin display except you need to connect the Osc pin to Vdd. According to PCD8544 datasheet this enables the on-chip oscillator.

Hrm, I just ripped the LCD out of my old nokia 5165. it's 9 pins, but the whole deal is chip on glass and doesn't have discrete connectors.

Henri, you have tape on your pic... did you just tape the lines to the glass?

My display is the 8 pin 3310 display and it has small pads where wires can be soldered. Your best chance might be to use the phone PCB or part of it and solder wires there.

As soon as I have time to finish them. You can of course ask me the current unfinished driver by mail unless you have already done that.

Please resend me your mail and I'll give you the driver. I haven't noticed it so maybe for some reason the spam filter has taken it out or something else has happened...

The driver works only with 0.6 as older versions don't have plugin/driver support.

Ok, I've sent you the e-mail but if you don't receive it, you can use my forum's e-mail!

There's now driver included in build16 of LCDInfo 0.6. It's not yet totally finished but should work mostly ok. At least I haven't seen problems.

WOW, Henri you are a GENIOUS :D :D

How about the LCD of a SonyEricsson T610?
Could it work too?

That would be nice, a coloured Display in for i.e. the mouse

Color displays might be possible in future. I have had an Epson 128x128 pixel color display from a Nokia phone for some time but haven't yet had time to look into it more closely. But I have the datasheet for the display and the documentation is there so there shouldn't be too big problems getting it to work. But I'm not giving any promises on this yet, it will come when I have the time for it.

Got a little problem here getting my lcd from a nokia 3210 working.
According to: http://www.skippari.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=471 I should see someting on my screen.
I see nothing..

My LPT-port is just giving 2.15V. Strange or what? Should it not be giving like 5V?

2.15V is definately too low for this. The schematic is meant for 5V parallel ports. The low dropout regulator requires >3.5V, preferably more. My parallel port gives about 5V without load and when this circuit + display is powered the voltage in LPT pin 7 was about 0.2V lower.

With 3.3v LPT ports you shouldn't need the 74LCX245/74LVC245 chip or the 3.3v regulator and you can just connect the lpt pins to the lcd pins.

Is that 2.15V measured without load ?

Lowest spec'd voltage for PCD8544 is 2.7V but it might work with less.
