Hey guy use to working with general electronics over the years but this will be my first stab at work with a LCD, Last project was with nixies :)

Any who im looking to get my hands on a EL640.200 SK from Planar and wanted to know if any one could offer any information on setting this baby up so i can actualy make use of it.

The ultimate goal is a proof of concept design im building (im a School of visual arts student) for a very sexy desk with a new controll interface

Nixies eh, VERY COOL stuff 8)
Take a look at this topic:
http://www.lcdstudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8962
as it has all info about my 640.200.SK
However you might not really like the end results if you plan to use it with SED1335, distortion can mess up your artsy concept!

Don't give ideas to other people!
That Planar is already without controller, if you need a SED controller you can do a search here or at LCDstudio forum, there are some US based retailers that sell them.
Mine's from Henri here at LCDinfo, won't fit your Planar without some cable hacking.

edit: make sure you get the mating connector for the Planar's socket too!

Case, I would have to assume you are one in the same as "Fearstyle" from LCDStudio forums...???

If so, you'll probably see this post twice...

Works great with the following Planar models:

EL160.80.50 (pending support for a 160x80 display)
EL160.120.39 (should work by design, but I don't have one to test with)
EL320.240.36HB
EL480.240-PR2
EL640.200-SK
