After doing some research ive decided to post what i have managed to find out about the LCD in the Nokia 2100.
The Lcd itself is manufactured by samsung with a resolution of 96x54 pixels (well i think it is) i dont know what controller it uses or the part number. im hoping somone else can help me with that.
Using the Nokia Repair Manual for the 2100 i have been able to work out most of the connections for this LCD

(Sorry about the bad pic...at least it gives you an idea)
Pin 1 <-> Vin- Approx 2.8v
Pin 2 <-> DataCLK
Pin 3 <-> DataIO
Pin 4 <-> ??UNKNOWN??
Pin 5 <-> LCDEN
Pin 6 <-> GND
Pin 7 <-> Vout -To GND via 100n Capacitor
Pin 8 <-> LCDRSTX
im currently trying to get some data on the use of Pin 4, 5 and 8 as well as the frequency of Pin 2 (DataCLK) i'll add more when or if i get the information i require (i may even draw some schematics if i've got the time
). If anyone can get their hands on a datasheet for a Texas Instruments MAD2 DSP + Microcontroller i would be eternally greatful
Anyway thats what ive got, i hope its useful to someone.
