Once you get a valid data sheet, let me know and I'll see what kind of diagram I can draw up for you which should clear up everything....hopefully :D

trust me Im looking forward to it. My wife already thinks Im nut's. I got the LCD's as a Birthday present from a room mate because I started seeing all of these cool things people are doing with them. So when I was on ebay I saw alot of the 311's but didnt like the bulky size. Saw these and was like whoa gotta get. So he ordered them and Ive been hyped up like a mad man since. On the compy every night when I get home looking for stuff about the LCD and on here getting info from you. Wifey just thinks Ive gone on some looney venture that Ill never stay dedicated to. But as in all things it electronics and Ive been in computers since high school so I doubt this will go away too easily.

Subject: Shelly LCD with EL Backlight SGM240064C3, SGM24006436, SGM24006437

Dear Sir/Madam:

I have been looking for a manual pertaining to one of the following model numbers on a display. Unfortunately everywhere I have looked I can not for the life of me find them and I do need the use of them so that I may hook the modules up to my system. If there is anyway you can email me the manuals or send me a copy of the manual through the mail it would be greatly appreciated.

Now the model numbers again are:
SGM240064C3
SGM24006436
SGM24006437

Thank you for taking the time to read over this email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank You,
Brandon S Austin

Well atleast they gave me a way to contact them if they dont want to cooperate. Which in a way seems like they do, but since Im not part of a business maybe not. Who knows. I guess Ill give it another day to find out. But those part numbers are the exact ones listed on their site except the first one which I can only find on a 3rdp_person Retailer who doesn't give any information onthe LCD either.

It is very well possible that the SHARP datasheet also applies for the Shelly as often manufacturers make drop-in replacements.
If you have a multimeter you'll be able to trace most voltage and datapins so you can confirm whether the SHARP datasheet is correct or not.
You're on the brink of getting a serious addiction, beware....

Will be back later, have to go load up some old pc's a friend is giving me. apparently it is 2 car loads full of crap, lol.

Well from what I can tell the LCD is pretty much just like the one in the RCA manual so we can use the information out of it for sure. So from there we just have to see how it goes. Also, the red and black line coming off of the lcd screen that you see in the video, what do you suspect those are for, I know it is for some type of power but what.

That's for the backlight.
Either LED or EL backlight.

okay I went ahead and requested 2 smaples from MAXIM the 2 items are
MAX6373KA+ and MAX6373KA. They both are part of the 637 series that One~Zero had mentioned. so I should recieve those within the week and ee where to go fromthere. I already have a max774 laying around somewhere, if e think that would do better let me know and I can go ahead and see about setting that board up.
