Forgot to reply earlier that it works great here too. :)

Are these later versions supposed to open any window for keyboard control? The first time I tested I didn't have a touch panel connected and then I didn't find any way to control and stop the process other than killing through task manager.

No console window is opened as it's now fully touch input controlled.

While on topic; libgoom_plugin.dll, the visual effects plugin which is driving the audio visuals, contains a 3meg per track (and instance) memory leak. This can also be observed through vlc.exe with goom enabled while scanning through a playlist. Next vlcstream update will contain a replacement libgoom_plugin.dll with the leak fixed.
Leak originates through goom's heavy use of static variables.

Finally got around to testing the OpenGL demos on an Nvidia Go 7400 based laptop, which to my surprise they did not work. They were Seg. faulting with an illegal instruction. A recompile with GCC 4.3.0 seems to have fixed the issue. All have been re-uploaded in to a single package here: Download

Updated the Quake executables.
As well as adding GL modes of 480x272 this should also resolve the menu and gfx corruption in Quake3.

Requirements:
Quake 1: Demo or Full
Quake 2: Full install with the 3.20 update.
Quake 3: Full install with the 1.32b point release.

Just playing with the new vlcstream here. Nice work. It's getting better every time :)

It might be useful to post the readme from the package here:
Quote:
VLCStream
A standalone touch input video player for the USBD480.

As well as using this plugin to stream video directly to the USBD480, it may also be used in effect to stream your desktop, webcam and most
other video sources also, including DVB-T (digital TV) or any other TWAIN compatible device (digital cam).

Examples:
vlc.exe screen:// :screen-fps=20
vlc.exe dshow:// :dshow-vdev="Pinnacle WDM PCTV Video Capture"
Both dshow:// and screen:// are configured through vlc.exe.

Install:
Get VLC from: http://www.videolan.org/

Unpack vlcstream.rar to the VLC install location.
vlcstream.exe and vlc.exe should then be in the same directory.
libgoom_plugin.dll should be copied to vlc/plugins/
libgoom_plugin.dll resolves a per track 3meg libgoom memory leak.

Executing:
Run vlcstream.exe or through the commandline pass the media file to vlcstream.exe
eg; 'vlcstream "f:\path\to\file.ext"'

Controls:
Use a stylus. Touch stuff.

Btw, in this:
Quote:
Examples:
vlc.exe screen:// :screen-fps=20
vlc.exe dshow:// :dshow-vdev="Pinnacle WDM PCTV Video Capture"

Should vlc.exe be vlcstream.exe?

Also if anyone is running USBD480 firmware earlier than May 2009 (0.4) feel free to send me a message and we'll get you updated to the latest one. It can help improving the performance with these myLCD based programs. Or maybe it is already required.

hmm.
"

"
Should actually have been in the usbd480_plugin.dll readme, but I just now see the file is actually missing.

LCDMisc. for the USBD480

LCD Miscellany is a tool allowing one to write scripts to display stuff on Logitech LCD displays. LCDMisc for the USBD480 is a customization of the LCDMisc v4.4.3 scripts; adding an output plugin, touch panel control, full colour and resolution support for the USBD480, along with additional views and graphics.

Updated VLCStream, my libvlc based media player.
This adds a new UI and fixes a touch control issue.

Image

Grab it from sourceforge -> USBD480 -> usbd480_vlcstream.rar
(.rar contains several sets of icons. To use; rename icon folder to 'media')
