Do you mind trying this: http://mylcd.sourceforge.net/files/touch.rar

This is my touch tester for the display, but importantly it will provide some debug information.

Hello Sylvio,

It seems that you're still using the older firmware version. Perhaps I've mistakenly assumed 0x700 is the latest for everyone. It's probably best to contact Henri.

Hi Michael

It's true that the very latest firmware version haven't been actively distributed yet. But as it has some good improvements I think it is time to get it into wider use. No point not taking advantage of the improvements in new software development. Like for example the increased raw data transfer rate that can be over 70% more than before and the improved display update protocol that can reduce the transferred amount of data to a fraction of what it was before.

Anyone who wishes to update to the latest firmware just send me an email and we'll get you updated. Before releasing this as a public downloadable update package I want to work to improve the update tool to make some checks to determine what is the correct way to update for that unit. As I know there are still some units out there that haven't been updated to the new improved bootloader/firmware system that was introduced around last May so those units need a slightly different update procedure.

Hi Michael

I see I never replied here. It's great to see updates to these. I have been playing with the new version and I have liked it. Still need to give it another try to test more of the features.

Hi Henri,
That previous version actually had a bug (flaky fps) when used with WinXp/Vista/Win7, but went unnoticed as I use Win2k where it was fine.

Small update to VLCStream:
Fixed the meta tag issue and updated the Playlist layout (artwork is now scrollable along with the track titles).

Everything works, except for the touchscreen. I can't seem to figure out the problem. I am using the LIBUSB-win32 drivers as of yesturday. I found the "touch.rar" and executed it but is gave a an error of "USBD480 HID interface not found", any ideas?

Hi,
I use the USBD480 through libusb0 and HID via the composite interface, ie; your USBD480 must be preconfigured in composite mode. The appls also expect firmware version 0x700.

Updated touch and backlight adjuster: http://mylcd.sourceforge.net/files/touch.zip

You'll need to contact Henri for that.

I've updated VLCStream once more, with many new features including a new playlist and playlist manager (multiple playlists), new UI, an internal command prompt for total control, along with lots of other stuff. ...and there are also a few easter eggs, too.

grab it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mylcd/f ... r/download
